This effect is dependent on the temperature of the diode and the magnitude of the applied voltage. As the diode’s temperature increases, its dynamic threshold voltage decreases, increasing the recombination current. As the magnitude of the applied voltage increases, the recombination current increases, resulting in increased voltage drop across the diode.
