Analog to Digital Converters (ADC) are a type of integrated circuit used to convert analog signals or analog datum into digital format for the purpose of processing and/or storage. The EVAL-AD7332EDZ, powered by Analog Devices, Inc., is a high speed 6-bit ADC evaluation board that provides a range of features to users and designers for control and operation of the AD7332ADC. The EVAL-AD7332EDZ has a wide range of applications such as medical imaging, communications, signal processing, industrial control, and consumer electronics. The board can be used for a number of different signal processing tasks such as acoustic echo cancellation, video signal processing, and sampling frequency conversion. This board is also ideal for signal conditioning applications with analog filters and comparators, as well as for benchmarking of high-speed ADCs.
The EVAL-AD7332EDZ features a single-ended input range of 2.4V peak-to-peak, with a +/-1.2V DC offset. It also has an on-chip low-pass filter, which is used to remove noise from the input signal. This low-pass filter has a cutoff frequency of 32kHz, and its parameters are user-adjustable. In addition, the fabrication process used for the EVAL-AD7332EDZ includes a dielectric flux reduction system, which provides users with reduced power consumption by minimizing power consumption during switching.
