The EVAL-AD7693-PMDZ evaluation board and accompanying adapter board are designed to enable users to quickly and easily evaluate the features of the AD7693 differential, low noise, high speed, low power, analog-to-digital converter (ADC). This board is part of a series of development boards from Analog Devices that enable designers to quickly evaluate the suitability of their products and whether they are suitable for their application. The board and accompanying adapter board provide a wide range of evaluation facilities and features that enable the user to test, verify and design their circuit with no risk or responsibility other than assembly.
EVAL-AD7693-PMDZ application field covers a wide range of applications, including medical and heavy industrial applications. The adapter board allows the development board to interface with wide range of input signals and power supplies, making it suitable for a variety of applications including analog-to-digital conversion in data acquisition systems, digital signal processing, automatic test systems, instrumentation, measurement systems, medical imaging systems, and automotive audio systems.
The EVAL-AD7693-PMDZ is a versatile evaluation board, providing users with a high quality, low power, low noise and precisely measured output. This board supports an input of 8 single-ended channels, differential inputs, and bi-directional level-shifting. The board also features very low power consumption, a power up sequence, low power standby mode and auto power down.
The working principle of EVAL-AD7693-PMDZ consists of a differential analog-to-digital converter (ADC) with a conversion rate of up to 5MHz. It processes 8 single-ended or 4 differential channels at once, and provides a very low distortion ratio. The converter is designed with a combination of capacitively coupled and on-chip linearization circuits. The captured signal is then digitized using Sigma-Delta modulation, a noise shaping, and decimation method. Through the integration of the recommended external components, the EVAL-AD7693-PMDZ provides a maximum system resolution of up to 16bits with a sampling rate of up to 5MSa/s.
The EVAL-AD7693-PMDZ board enables the user to quickly and easily evaluate the AD7693 differentials, low noise, high speed and low power ADC. It also provides a flexible platform for evaluating and optimizing the performance of the converter within application specific circuit designs. The board and accompanying adapter board supports a range of user-programmable settings for the optimal design and functionality of the application.
