The EVAL-ADXL362Z-MLP evaluation board is a versatile open source tool for evaluating the performance of the Analog Devices ADXL362Z low-power accelerometer. This evaluation board provides a platform for testing and developing a variety of applications that utilize this sensor, including but not limited to: robotics, wearable, healthcare, automotive, industrial, wireless communications, 3D motion sensing, consumer electronic, and many more. The board combines powerful features from the ADXL362Z with an industry-standard 8- and 32-bit microcontroller platform for quick and easy prototyping and testing in a wide range of applications.
The EVAL-ADXL362Z-MLP board contains the same components as an ADXL362Z device, including the powerful MEMS accelerometer and an on-board low power ARM Cortex-M3 microcontroller. The board also features a wide variety of sensors, including a pressure sensor, temperature, humidity, time-of-flight distance sensor, I2C and SPI buses, and GPIO. These allow for a wide range of customizations when building applications using the board, from basic motion sensing to complex embedded systems with multiple sensing functions.
In terms of working principle, the board uses internal analog circuitry on the MEMS accelerometer for sensing and signal conditioning. This circuitry houses high-precision technical components, such as a low-power integrated circuit (IC), resistors, capacitors, and ESD protection for the device. The board then processes the analog signals and converts them to digital signals which can be read and interpreted by the host microcontroller and integrated into the application.
