EVB90614 is an evaluation board designed for use with the ZMD31512C high accuracy pressure transducer from Infotronic Inc. This board provides a complete platform for investigation, evaluation and development of the ZMD31512C transducer performance. The transducer itself measures absolute pressure in the range of 0-90 hPa which is the most common range for general pressure measurements. The evaluation board offers a simple solution for evaluating the performance of the sensor.
The application of the EVB90614 is related to sensor testing, as it helps to measure the performance of the ZMD31512C transducer. The platform can be used to determine the accuracy, linearity and hysteresis properties of the sensor. It is a useful tool when conducting comparative studies of sensors such as accuracy comparisons between different pressure transducers. This transducer uses the transducer effect technology which makes measurements using the force generated by varying the pressure on the diaphragm. The ADC interface allows for accurate measurement of low level pressure changes with high degree of linearity and low hysteresis. The board also contains a resistive bridge network which is used to calibrate the transducer.
In order to correctly evaluate the performance of the transducer, the EVB90614 evaluation board must be properly configured and operated. To do this, the user should configure the board to the appropriate test conditions, such as air flow volume for pressure tests, pressure range and time interval between measurements. The board should then be connected to the pressure transducer using the appropriate output connector, usually a shielded twisted pair for the signal lines. The data acquisition board can then be set up and the pressure measurements obtained. The data can then be transferred to a PC for further analysis.
