EVBCRTOUCH is a controller board that performs capacitive sensing for various sensing areas and allows for the evaluation of the capacitive sensing performance of our capacitive touch, proximity sensor, and water-based sensor technologies. It is a versatile evaluation tool that can be used for a wide variety of capacitive sensing applications, such as automotive, home appliances, white goods, and medical applications.The EVBCRTOUCH controller board contains an integrated electric field (EF) sensing system, consisting of the electric-field antenna (EF antenna), charge pump (CP) circuit, and synchronization module (SYNC). It is based on the Field Effect Transistor (FET) sensing principle, which measures the electric field around a sensing area. This sensing principle utilizes an electric field instead of physical contact to measure the capacitance values of a sensing area.The electric field generated by the EF antenna is used to measure the capacitance of the sensing area. The CP circuit supplies voltage to the EF antenna, creating an oscillating electric field. When the electric field is emitted, it will induce a voltage on the sensing area. This voltage is read by the CP circuit and will be used to measure the capacitance of the sensing area. The SYNC module is responsible for synchronization and data transmission between the EF antenna and the CP circuit.The EVBCRTOUCH controller board comes with an on-board microcontroller which can be programmed to support multiple applications such as automotive, home automation, and industrial applications. The board supports both digital output and analog output modes. With the digital output mode, the board can provide up to 32 digital inputs which can be connected to buttons, sensors, or other digital I/O devices. The analog output mode is useful for analog sensors such as gas sensors and light sensors.The EVBCRTOUCH controller board is powered by a 3.3V source and consumes approximately 120 milliamps (mA). The board also supports two different communication technologies, which are I2C and SPI. It also features an onboard temperature sensor for measuring temperature in the environment.The EVBCRTOUCH is a powerful evaluation tool for designing and evaluating various capacitive sensing applications. It can be used to measure the capacitance of a sensing area to determine the sensitivity of the capacitive sensing technology. It can also be used to evaluate the performance of capacitive touch, proximity sensors, and water-based sensors.
