This makes it an ideal solution for a variety of Low-Power Wireless applications such as home automation, lighting control, and energy management systems.The EZR32HG220F32R67G-B0R RF Transceiver IC is based on the leading edge eZR32HG processor from Silicon Labs and is capable of operating in both the 2.4 GHz and 900 MHz frequency bands. It is also available with optional on-board Microchip wireless networking and Zigbee protocol software stacks to offer complete Zigbee solutions. The highly integrated EZR32HG220F32R67G-B0R RF Transceiver IC is designed for applications locations such as lighting, security, automation, and energy control.The EZR32HG220F32R67G-B0R RF Transceiver IC is based on a three layered approach that includes a Low Power Radio (LPR) layer, a communications layer, and an application layer. The LPR layer is responsible for sending and receiving signals, as well as providing a robust link in between the radio receiver and transceiver. The communications layer of the EZR32HG220F32R67G-B0R RF Transceiver IC can be configured for a variety of protocols, The majority of which are based on Digi International’s products (in most cases providing a low cost solution when using Zigbee.)
