The F1977EVS application field and working principle is a type of RF evaluation and development kit. This type of device is used to evaluate and develop radio frequency related projects. The device consists of two modules, the main module and the daughter board. The device is powered with a supplied power adapter.

The main module of the F1977EVS is composed of a PCB centric printed circuit board, four Power Amplifiers, two mixers, one programmable logic, one EEPROM, one serial port, one USB port, and two LED indicators. The main module is also equipped with two headers which may be specific to a certain application.

The F1977EVS daughter board consists of an interchangeable Front-End Module (FEM) with a low-noise amplifier, a high-frequency oscillator, and a down converter. The daughter board also includes a programmable logic and memory with which regular firmware updates can be deployed.

The overall performance of the F1977EVS can be divided into four main areas: transmission, detection, modulation/demodulation, and debug. Important testing parameters can be set, readings obtained and measurements taken in the transmission and detection modes. The modulation/demodulation mode allows the user to modulate the F1977EVS with up to six different modulations and waveforms, depending on the daughter board that is in use. Finally, the debug section allows the user to view, debug, and store the transmitted/received data.

In the transmission mode, the user programs their desired gain and power levels and then transmits a signal through the device. The signal is collected at the daughter board and amplified, and then fed through the amplification stages of the main module. The modulation/demodulation mode works in much the same way. The user sets the gain and power levels to the desired values, and then transmits the simulated incoming signal. This signal is then amplified, and then used to modulate the F1977EVS with the desired modulation/waveform.

The debug section is used to view and debug the transmitted/received data. This information can then be used in post-processing and signal analysis tools such as a spectrum analyzer or a vector signal analyzer, which can provide the user with insight and analysis on the modulation/waveform, frequency, and gain of the signal.

The F1977EVS is an incredibly versatile device.
