Tantalum Capacitors

The F910G477KNC is a type of tantalum capacitor, which is part of a larger electrical component family that includes electrolytic, ceramic, and film capacitors. Tantalum capacitors are the most advanced and reliable type of capacitor due to their stability, wide operating temperature range, long life and small size.

Tantalum capacitors are equipped with two circular electrodes that work together as electrical circuits. The positive and negative terminals of the capacitor are connected to the two electrodes, and the capacitor takes the form of two and a half metal cylinders - one being the anode and the other the dielectric. The typically anode is composed of sintered tantalum, which acts as both a source of the metal and an electrode. The dielectric is usually composed of a layer of extremely thin oxide material such as zirconium dioxide, and the cylinder is filled with a special electrolyte material.

The F910G477KNC capacitor is designed for use in high frequency, low inductance applications with medium to high ripple current requirements.
