<p>The FAN2360MPX is a monolithic 2-phase, high efficiency, DC/DC buck synchronous voltage regulator from Fan3C Semiconductor, Inc. It is designed to be power efficient and offers a wide range of adjustable output voltage from 0.92V to 5.5V with an on-chip output current of 1A. It also features adjustable soft-start, adjustable slew rate, and adjustable frequency for to provide optimum voltage regulation for a wide range of applications.</p><p>The FAN2360MPX is a synchronous voltage regulator that uses two power switches, one to regulate the output voltage and one to regulate the input voltage, in order to regulate the output voltage. These switches are controlled by a control signal that is generated by an internal comparator and amplifier circuit. This circuit continuously monitors both the output and input voltage levels, and adjusts the duty cycle of the output switch in order to keep the output voltage within a predetermined range.</p><p>The FAN2360MPX also features a power saving design, which minimizes power dissipation when the device is in sleep mode. The device can be put into a low-power mode in which the entire chip is shut down, except for the input voltage monitor, allowing the device to remain in sleep mode until a preset output voltage is reached.</p><p>The FAN2360MPX also includes a Soft-Start feature which allows for a gradual increase in the output voltage rather than a rapid rise. This feature prevents inrush current from damaging components connected to the output and ensures a smooth transition from standby power to switching power supply.</p><p>In addition to the power-saving features, the FAN2360MPX also has a built-in thermal protection circuit that limits the device temperature to ensure the integrity of the output voltage and current.</p><p>The FAN2360MPX is ideal for a wide range of applications, such as voltage regulation, load regulation, and load sharing in notebook computers, tablets and other portable devices.
