FAP12WEIDLC, or Fiber Access Platform 12 Wave Division Multiplexing Line Connector, is a technology that is used to communicate over a fiber optic system. The on-off-keying modulation method encodes the data into a binary format, using an on and off state to denote the presence and absence of a data bit. The phase shift keying modulation approach encodes the digital data by shifting the phase of the waveform from one logic level to another. The modulated waveforms are then transmitted through the single-mode optical fiber cable and decoded with an optical receiver to recover the original data.
