The FD2Y08RF application fields and working principles are found in multiple industries. It is a semiconductor device, which when used with VF output pins, can power an AC motor up to 800 watts.

In operation, the FD2Y08RF board can be configured with an alternate back-panel wiring options to provide power for special applications. It also includes a built-in Analog/Digital converter (ADC) to read motor parameters and consolidate them into a single bus. It features Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) that are Network Ready and incorporates a data logging system to monitor important motor characteristics.

Using a unique flux sensor, the FD2Y08RF produces a zero-crossing reference signal. This signal is used to control the power stages, which are also contained in the board. The power stages allow the board to modify the frequency of the applied voltage to the motor and accordingly match the speed required to operate the motor.

The FD2Y08RF has a feedback loop that works based on the data gathered by the ADC. The ADC is used to measure the hardness of the instructions that come from the user, or the desired speed. A feedback loop is then created and used to adjust the frequency of the applied voltage until the desired parameters (speed, torque, voltage and current) are met. This loop is adjusted with each cycle until all of the desired conditions are achieved.

The system is highly efficient and robust, and is largely self-regulating, making it ideal for use in high-demand applications. The FD2Y08RF is equipped with a user-friendly display to facilitate the setup and programming process. The many application fields in which this device is found include need motor control, constant torque servo control, CPR (Cycle Per Revolution) synchronization, speed and acceleration control, torque and current control, temperature and level control, and many more.
