FLABEA-02 is a special application form of the FOE-ABMS (Focalized Optimized Emission Automatic Beamforming System) developed by the M2-Lab of EEC, USA. It is mainly used in selective emission and reception. In order to control the source energy and polarization angle for reception and transmission, FLABEA-02 uses two beams that are orthogonal to each other.

In particular, the system comprises two antennas, each directed towards different directions. A single polarization is then selected for each beam. For transmitting the signal the FLABEA-02 processes the data using a reflection-based technique in a phased array approach that takes into account the mutual coupling of adjacent elements. On the receiver side, a power splitting technique is used to ensure the orthogonality of the two beams.

FLABEA-02 can be applied in various fields, such as communication, microwave signal detection, automotive and aerospace applications. It is also used in telemedicine.
