Working Principle of FOD8163TR2
Optoisolators consist of an LED and a phototransistor, which are placed in an optically isolated package. This optoisolator is designed with an optocoupler, and the internal LED is modulated with a signal. The resulting pulse modulated light is received by a phototransistor which is also placed inside the device. FOD8163TR2 is designed with an internal resistor for LED current limitation that is determined by the particular voltage range.
