FR156G R0G is classified as a Single Rectifier Diode which is a two-terminal electronic component that is used to convert alternating current (AC) to direct current (DC). It consists of a semiconductor junction connected to two electrodes, an anode and a cathode. This diode is mainly used for power factor correction, power rectification, surge suppression and reverse protection applications.
