FR301G R0G is a fast-recovery, glass-passivated rectifier diode that is commonly used in consumer electronics and automotive applications. It offers many advantages over other types of rectifiers, including low forward voltage drop, wide conduction angle, and low leakage current. This diode is suitable for various rectification applications in consumer electronics, as a bridge rectifier in power supplies, as an avalanche diode for voltage and current protection, as a clamping diode for voltage detection and other purpose, and for voltage regulation in switching power supplies.

A typical rectifier diode has an Anode and Cathode. The Anode is the positive terminal, which is connected to the positive voltage source or load. The Cathode is the negative terminal, which is connected to the negative power source or load. The classic diode symbol shows the arrows pointing to the Anode and Cathode. When a forward voltage is applied between the Anode and Cathode, the diode allows only a current in the forward direction, as current flows from Anode to Cathode.
