DeviceOpen FRDM-HB2001FEVM evaluation and demonstration board and kit offers a complete design platform for the Texas Instruments C2000™ 32-bit floating-point MCU platform based applications. It is based on the 32-bit dual-core high performance C2000™ TMS320F281x family of devices. This board is optimized and tailored for motor control and system level development. This board is an ideal platform for advanced motor control, system integration and validation for industrial pursuit and automotive related projects and more.
This board is a great learning platform providing designers a deep learning experience on dual-core TMS320F281x family of MCUs along with the various peripheral supported. The integrated controlCARD provides connector to an extended set of power drive solutions. The power intelligent gate drivers enables direct connection to various motors from the board itself. The board contains simply click support to the signal and wave DriveShark, a complete controlCARD functional verification tool.
The board offers two cores, 32-bit floating-point TMS320F28x MCU. The C2000™ Delfino 32-bit floating point MCUs combines the higher performance with code scalability and low MIPS with power flexibility. This combination of Delfino MCU and the real time control enable designers to quickly evaluate, prototype and develop the most demanding motor control and system implementations.
In the system level design approach, the FRDM-HB2001FEVM board provides a 30-pin expansion card connector (DMA) which allows access to many advanced peripherals. It also contains 40-pin of GPIO header allows easy interface to external applications. In addition, the board supports four independent PWMs enabling designers to control four motors from the single board itself. These high-performance PWMs support external devices for driving the power electronics and provide higher accuracy and speed of motor control.
The FRDM-HB2001FEVM board also provides enhanced low power support. The low-power technology implemented in the board provides support to the green design approach. The clock gating, power optimization and controlled system startup sequence enables designers to reduce the power consuming by 75%. The innovative clock gating in the board provides dynamic power management support for reducing the dynamic power consumption even further.

The E2E module provides inbuilt drag-n-drop peripheral plugin support which makes the easy and fast integrated programming. The board also support tool such as controlSUIT for the motor control development.
