The FSFM260N is a high-performance offline switcher module which belongs to the Power Management Integrated Circuit (PMIC) AC/DC Converters series. It is an ideal, small and equipped with a low standby power supply (LPS) converter.

The converter is DC/DC and AC/DC integrated and provides a full HV (300V-400V) isolated output. It is capable of producing a high power output at 12V and includes an output power of up to 400W. It also has an input voltage range of 250V-1000V and an output voltage range of 5V-32V.

The FSFM260N provides very low quiescent current, superior efficiency of up to 97%, inaudible noise, as well as fast transient response, making it extremely reliable and suitable for all types of industrial, automotive, computer and healthcare applications. This module is highly resilient and will provide years of reliable performance with minimal degradation.

The working principle of the FSFM260N is based on a switch-mode power supply, also known as a switcher. This works by taking a relatively low voltage DC input and switching it at a high frequency to a higher DC output voltage. The increased frequency enables the use of smaller, cheaper and more efficient components. This makes the switcher more reliable, efficient and potential to dissipate power in a smaller size.

The addition of a sophisticated problem-solving circuit and unique components allows the FSFM260N to meet the requirements of providing continuous currents up to 40A with under-voltage protection, over-voltage protection, overheating protection, overcurrent protection and surge protection.

The size factor of FSFM260N is another area of advantage as it takes up a minimum amount of floor space. It has a reduced thermal resistance between the junction to the heatsink heatsink and low parasitic loss, with even better noise reduction and defocusing.
