FST3384WMX

The FST3384WMX is a logic - signal switch, multiplexer, decoder device designed for switching video, s-video, audio, serial digital video and a variety of bus architectures in both digital and analog formats. It is a highly integrated device and offers applications in both commercial and consumer electronics. It is highly compatible with existing industry standards and protocols.

A primary application of the FST3384WMX is for switching multiplexed digital video and audio signals. It enables a variety of digital video formats such as SDI, 1080p, 720p and S-Video to be switched, multiplexed and decoded. It supports a variety of audio formats such as AC-3, Dolby Digital and DTS, as well as HDMI formats.

The FST3384WMX is capable of processing up to 25 Gbps with 3-layer switching, 5-dimension multiplexing, and 5-direction decoding. It has an integrated 16-bit routing switch which can route up to 2^20 signals at the same time. It supports a variety of data formats such as 8/10-bit video, 10/12-bit audio, 1/2-bit H.264 or H.265 video encoding/decoding, 1/2-bit MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 video decoding, and can also support high resolution 4K/8K video formats.

The FST3384WMX is also a low power device and can operate in temperatures from -20°C to +85°C. It has a wide operating voltage range, with a maximum of 3.3V and a minimum of 1.2V. It has an adjustable output current drive strength, and the switching time is rated from 0.5ns to 25ns.

In terms of its working principle, the FST3384WMX utilizes an input data stream in the form of a digital video stream or audio stream to produce multiplexed digital and analog output. First, the input data stream is decoded from SMPTE-DP or H.264 or H.265 formats and the signal is split into its component parts. Then, the decoded video signal is split into two video signal paths and the audio signal is split into a pair of analog signal paths. Next, the video paths are subjected to a process of 5-channel multiplexing, 5-conversion, and 3-layer switching, while the analog signal paths are subjected to 2-channel multiplexing, 2-conversion, and switching.

Finally, the multiplexed digital video signals are combined and outputted, while the analog signals are further processed, amplified, and outputted. The FST3384WMX can also be configured to operate in dual-video mode, where two video signals can be outputted at the same time.
