The operating coil is mounted to the outside of the plastic body. When energised, the coil maganetises and draws the contact arm firmly into contact with the contact spring, and the current passes through the relay. When the coil is energised it creates a magnetic field around the internal contact arm, forcing it into contact with the contact spring and causing an energising current to be passed through the relay. When the energizing current is removed, the magnetic field dissipates, allowing the contact arm to move away from the contact spring and the current to be broken.
The Snubber circuit is designed to help reduce contact arcing and protect against sudden spikes in voltage and current. This helps to ensure the reliability and longevity of the relay.
