GKMA33 is a Snap Action, Limit Switch designed for use in multiple applications including positioning, motion control and end-of-travel sensing. It is widely used in industrial, aerospace, automotive and medical industries. GKMA33 helps to accurately and quickly detect mechanical movement operation.
GKMA33 consists of two parts: Actuator and Switch. The actuator is the key to the switch and is the replaceable part of the switch. It is responsible for detecting the mechanical movement operation and communicating it to the switch.
The switch is linked to the actuator so when the actuator is moved, the switch knows that a change in position has occurred and can then activate a circuit to process the appropriate response. The switch is designed to provide an electrical signal to the external circuit when the switch is operating, and to break that signal when the switch is no longer in an active position.
The GKMA33\'s main components include an actuator housing, stem, roller, pivots, leaf springs, and a terminal strip. The actuator housing is the primary structure for the switch and it contains the stem and the roller. The stem is a metal rod that connects the actuator and the switch to the external circuit. The roller is the part of the actuator that senses the mechanical movement and then communicates the appropriate signal to the switch. The pivots and leaf springs are what allow the action to move from the rest position to the end-of-travel position. The terminal strip is where the external circuit is connected to the switch.
The working principle of the GKMA33 is fairly simple. When the actuator is moved, the roller is pulled along the stem, moving it to a preset end-of-travel position. When the roller reaches the end-of-travel position, it triggers the leaf springs to bend, creating an electrical signal in the external circuit.
When the actuator is moved, the roller is pushed back to its rest position and the leaf springs return to their normal resting state, releasing the electrical signal and breaking the connection to the external circuit. This process is then repeated every time the actuator is moved.
GKMA33 is a reliable, efficient, and cost-effective limit switch solution for positioning, motion control, and end-of-travel sensing applications. It is able to accurately and quickly detect mechanical movement operations and its small size makes it an ideal choice for many industries.
