Snap Action, Limit Switches

The GKMB23 Series of snap action and limit switches are commonly used in industrial applications and are reliable, durable and precise. They are designed with two types of contact mechanisms, a normally open (NO) connection and a normally closed (NC) connection. NO connections are typically used to disconnect an electrical circuit when the switch is closed, while NC connections are used to reconnect the circuit when the switch is closed.

The GKMB23 series switches feature an IP67 rated dust-proof and waterproof housing to protect the internal components from dust and moisture. They also incorporate a robust mechanical design with a stainless steel actuator and a hardened operating lever for reliable operation in extreme temperatures and high pressure environments. The operating force is adjustable, providing users with the ability to customize the performance of the switch to their specific applications. Additionally, the electrical rating is up to 10A, and the switch can be mounted in vertical, horizontal or angular orientations.

The GKMB23 series switches operate using a snap action mechanism. When the switch is actuated, the actuator lever goes through a travel distance, the switch contacts touch each other and the circuit is connected or disconnected. The contact forces exerted by the contacts are higher than the lever return spring force, so the contacts remain in the closed or open position until the actuator lever is actuated again. This ensures a reliable and repeatable switching operation.

The GKMB23 series also employs a sealed plunger and a precision microswitch with a high contact load to protect the mechanism from wear and tear over the long term. Moreover, the switch has a non-locking locking lever and a protective cover, allowing the user to manually set the switching point with accuracy.
