GLEA24A1B Working Principle

The GLEA24A1B snap action limit switch operates on the principle of a movable contact arm that is connected to an internal actuating lever. When the actuating lever is triggered, the contact arm moves from one contact position to another, thereby changing the contact positions from normal-open to normal-closed, or vice versa.

Due to the high sensitivity of the GLEA24A1B, the contact positions can be easily switched by an extremely small amount of mechanical force. The switch also has an actuating force of just 0.8N—1.6N, which makes it suitable for use in low voltage and low current applications.

In addition, the switch has a flexible external plate bracket that allows it to be easily mounted in a variety of positions, while the low-profile body of the switch ensures easy installation in tight spaces.
