Snap Action, Limit Switches

The GLLA06C is a type of snap action, limit switch, an electromechanical switch which activates or deactivates when it is triggered by physical pressure, such as pressing a button or lever. Working Principle

GLLA06C limit switches function on a simple principle. When the pressurized actuator is activated, a set of contacts open or close some type of contact gap within the switch mechanism. This establishes a connection or disconnection between the connected circuits. As the actuator is released, the contacts of the switch mechanism open or close, which causes the contact gap to become closed or open respectively.

The position of the contacts in the switch mechanism can be adjusted by using a calibration screw, which allows users to adjust the amount of pressure needed to activate the switch or the degree of travel of the actuator before the switch is triggered. In addition, the contact gap can be adjusted in order to detect objects at different distances.
