The GPP10M-E3/73 is a diode rectifier module with a reverse voltage of 730V and a forward current rating of 10A. It is a single-phase rectifier module which has multiple applications, depending on the need and requirement of the user. This includes applications such as rectifying AC generator output, as well as applications in battery charging systems, DC motor speed control, motor reversing and other applications that require efficient control of DC power.
This diode rectifier module features an insulated case comprising of a molded plastic material and a ceramic base, making it suitable for high temperature, vibration and mechanical shock. The device also utilizes a highly reliable PSC (Position Sensitive Contactor) technology to provide precise operation and position sensing. The GPP10M-E3/73 has enhanced surge capability and supports frequency of up to 50kHz, which makes it suitable for high frequency switching applications.
The GPP10M-E3/73 offers full-wave rectification via diode bridge configuration. A diode bridge is an arrangement of four diodes which combine to form a single bidirectional unit. It allows current to pass in both directions and converts AC to DC power. It works by alternating the current flow direction in each half of the given AC signal, so that the end product is a smooth DC output. The GPP10M-E3/73 diode rectifier module features four internal FRD (Fast Recovery Diode) silicon chips, which have a low forward voltage drop and high recovery rate, making them highly efficient and able to produce a smooth output voltage.
