GPTBRH11 is a field of snap action and limit switches developed by Omron Corporation, that can be used for a variety of applications in industrial automation and system control. These switches are designed to take on hazardous environment conditions and assist in a wide range of operational tasks, such as detecting the presence or absence of a motor or machine, measuring current and voltage, and operating an alarm or system control.
GPTBRH11 snap action switches are designed for high performance in industrial applications and in difficult working conditions, where sturdy construction is a requirement. This type of product has protection against high-pressure wash, oil resistance, water resistance, and durability thanks to corrosion-resistant materials.
GPTBRH11 snap action switches have a simple switch design that can be configured for either a normally open (NO) or normally closed (NC) contact. The contacts of the switch close or open when a predetermined operation is performed by the actuator. This action causes the contact to break and results to a contact operating characteristics, like a snap action, that is ideal for frequent switching.
The working principle of the GPTBRH11 switches is based on how the actuator is mounted on the button. The actuator is also responsible for determining the type of contact form which is either NC or NO. The actuator is powered by an operating voltage of 24 VDC. When the actuator is activated, it causes the magnet to be attracted to the actuator and then the force from the spring increases to a point where the actuator is released, activating the contacts.
The precision of the GPTBRH11 contact assembly guarantees that the contacts operate accurately and repeatably. The switch’s construction is mounted off the edge of the contact surface, reducing the possibility of contact damage due to shock or vibration.
GPTBRH11 snap action switches are capable of handling extreme temperature, shock and vibration. The performance is further enhanced by a variety of mounting and mounting accessories, including: PC board attachment clips, back plate mounting brackets, adjustable frame mounting brackets, and surface mount accessories.
By providing both snap action and limit switch operations, GPTBRH11 snap action switches are well suited for many situations where accuracy, reliability and safety are important. They can be used to switch small motors and machinery, measure and control current and voltage, and send alarms in emergency conditions.
