Time Delay Relays are used in a variety of applications for managing processes, including H3Y-2 AC200-230 1S. These specialized devices measure the amount of time passed between a trigger event and an action as programmed by the user. When correctly utilized in a project, they can provide additional functionality to the circuit, such as controlling the rate at which a current is switched on and off, enhancing reliability or time-controlled services of processes.
The H3Y-2 AC200-230 1S Time Delay Relay is a 1-contact, on-delay type device. It has a rated-voltage of 110VAC, 220VAC or 24VDC and can be adjusted to delay periods of 0.1-180s. It is usually used to be a switch, with the output configured to be either normally closed or normally open. The time adjusted is determined by the user setting the control knob. When the input voltage is applied, the output will delay a pre-determined amount of time (adjustable by the user) before changing the resulting output state.
The most frequent applications of the H3Y-2 AC200-230 1S include a deferred start control, delayed turn-off control, and a timer self-locking control. In a deferred start control, the operating voltage will activate the device, and then the timing will start. After the time delay has passed, the controlling current will then be emitted. In a delayed turn-off control, the operating voltage will activate the device, and its output will remain “on” during the delay period. When the time preset has expired, the output will turn “off”. Lastly, in a timer self-locking control, the relay will activate and then remain in “on” position until the timer resets itself.
The working principle of a Time Delay Relay is relatively simple. When a triggering voltage is applied to the input terminals, it will allow current to pass through the electric circuit, ultimately wrapping itself around a coil, which is attached to a plunger that helps to control electric contacts. This current will pass through the coil, creating a magnetic field that will in turn, pull the plunger down to operate a set of contacts. Once the time set has expired, the magnetic coil winding will de-energize, allowing the plunger spring to push the contacts back to their original position.
Time Delay Relays, such as the H3Y-2 AC200-230 1S, are extremely useful tools in many projects, providing additional mechanism functionality and reliability while keeping circuit designs simple by integrating many complex functionalities into one device. Furthermore, they are relatively inexpensive and are built to last, ensuring a reliable lifetime performance.
