The time interval ranges from 5 seconds to 10 minutes, meaning both intermittent and continual operation modes are possible.

The timer is capable of displaying time in minutes, hours and days, and supports both reset and cancel functions. There are three main uses of the timer: regular intervals (fixed time operation, reset timer); open and close time (fixed time operation, cancel timer); and time setting (adjusted time operation, cancel timer). The timer is also equipped with a reset system, which is connected to an input line.
