Working Principle

The HCPL-9000-300 is a 4-pin device with an input signal from the input pin to the LED of the opto-isolator, a ground connection between the input pin and the corresponding input ground, an output from the output pin to the phototransistor, and an output ground between the output pin and the corresponding ground. This isolator provides up to a maximum of 500Vdc of isolation voltage.
