The HIN241IBZ provides 3 distinct functions – an isolated RS-232 transceiver, receiver and driver. The transceiver operates at the full RS-232 signal levels, with a data rate range of 9.6 to 56 Kbps. It provides galvanic isolation between the transceiver, receiver and driver. This protects the signal from interference caused by ground loops.

The transceiver is designed for a wide range of industrial applications that require communication between equipment connected to signal systems and host computers. The receiver and driver consist of three low impedance active outputs and one high impedance input, with a signal sensitivity of up to ±12V.
