HMC313 RF/IF and RFID

HMC313 is a high power, wide band GaAs MMIC 12dB gain block, which produces 20 dBm of saturated output power from a single +5V supply. It covers an instantaneous RF frequency range of 45 to 6700MHz and uses a hermetically sealed surface mount component leadless plastic quad flatpack. HMC313 finds applications in various industries like telecom and consumer applications, drivers for antenna beam forming networks and many more.

Working Principle of HMC313

HMC313 takes in a very small input power and amplifies it to give higher output power. The amplifier is based on an advanced GaAs MMIC technology. Its unique design features allow it to deliver high power output with flat gain over the desired frequency range.The amplifier uses a balanced four stage cascade with direct-coupled gain stages and an active bias network to ensure stability with any load. This helps to maintain highest possible efficiency. The active bias circuit eliminates the need of an RF choke allowing the entire circuit to remain compact.

The Intelligent Bias network in HMC313 and the integrated predriver stage helps the amplifier to have consistent and reliable performance over temperature and supply voltage. It not only ensures high output power at low voltage but also helps maintain linearity for high output power levels.

Applications of HMC313
