HMC643-SX is a highly integrated, advanced RF front-end IC that is designed for low-power point-to-point and point-to-multi-point wireless communication systems operating in the 2.4 – 2.7 GHz frequency range. The HMC643-SX provides two modes of operation: PowerGain (enhanced-gain front-end operations) and PowerSave (reduced-power front-end operations). PowerGain mode is suitable for base station applications where maximum range and data throughput are desired. PowerSave mode is compatible with mobile or battery-powered applications.
The HMC643-SX contains a power amplifier (PA), a low noise amplifier (LNA), a mixer/down converter, a programmable gain block, and an image rejection filter. The PA is optimized for maximum linear power, while the LNA is designed to achieve the low noise figure. The image rejection filter is optimized to reject any images generated in the RF front-end.
