Introduction
The HMR3200 is a highly sensitive and accurate 3-axis magnetic sensor, designed to measure past and current magnetic field values. This unit is well-suited for applications such as automotive navigation, DR or robotic navigation, location-based services, electronic compass, and many more. The HMR3200 is also ideal for outdoor and vehicle navigation systems, and is the perfect choice for providing magnetic parameters to mobile devices such as GPS.Application Field
The HMR3200 can perform in automotive navigation, DR or robotic navigation, location-based services, electronic compass, and many more. It is equipped with an integrated ASIC which eliminates the need for calibration. For automotive applications, the HMR3200 provides information about the direction and magnitude of the magnetic field which the vehicle is currently in. Additionally, it can be used in orientation systems for unmanned aerial vehicles,(UAVs) robotics, and electric compasses. In location-based services, the HMR3200 is able to detect the direction and magnitude of the magnetic field. This information can be used to identify the current direction of the device, and can also be used in combination with other location-based services to determine the position of the device on the map.In electronic compass applications, the HMR3200 can provide the necessary data needed for the compass to correctly indicate the direction in which the device is pointing. This includes the angle of a vehicle relative to Earth’s north pole and the magnitude of the vector.Working Principle
The HMR3200 uses a combination of Hall Effect and magnetoresistive (MR) technology to measure the magnetic field. The Hall Effect is used to measure the directional component of the magnetic field while the magnetoresistive technology is used to measure the magnitude of the magnetic field. The Hall Effect works by passing a current through a thin wire conductor placed within a strong magnetic field. This magnetic field causes electrons to move to one side of the conductor, resulting in a voltage. When the conductor is placed at an angle to the magnetic field, this causes the voltage to vary depending on the angle of the conductor relative to the magnetic field. The magnetoresistive sensor works by measuring the change in resistance of a magnetic material when placed in a magnetic field. This resistance change is measured as a voltage, enabling the strength of the magnetic field to be determined. By combining the two technologies, the HMR3200 is able to accurately measure both the directional component and magnitude of the magnetic field. Conclusion
The HMR3200 is a highly sensitive and accurate 3-axis magnetic sensor that is well suited for a variety of applications such as automotive navigation, location-based services, and electronic compass. It uses a combination of Hall Effect and magnetoresistive technology to measure the directional component and magnitude of the magnetic field. As a result, the HMR3200 provides vital information about the direction and magnitude of the magnetic field surrounding an object, enabling engineers and designers to make the most of location-based services, outdoor navigation systems, and autonomous vehicle systems. The specific data is subject to PDF, and the above content is for reference
