The HV7361LA-G works by using two integrated synchronous converters, one for each of the two separate voltage rails that the device is capable of controlling. Each rail is configurable so that it can provide either an positive or a negative voltage output.Each of the two integrated synchronous converters includes an internal pulse-width modulated (PWM) voltage converter, a current sense amplifier, a PMOS current regulator, and a PMOS-controlled power switch. The power switch is the key component for controlling the output voltage and the switching of the converter. When a voltage is applied to the input, the power switch is opened or closed depending on the pulse width and frequency of the PWM signal input. This signal is generated based upon the voltage and current detected by the current sensor and amplified by the current amplifier. In addition, the power switch is controlled by the PMOS regulator. This regulates the current of the converter and allows the device to maintain a stable output voltage over varying input currents.Conclusion
