Working Principle

The operating principle behind an IC2 inductive proximity sensor is based on electromagnetic induction. The sensor consists of an inductive coil, which is powered by an alternating current. The field of influence is activated when a target moves into the sensor’s area of coverage. As the target moves, it creates a change in the magnetic field that the sensor detects.
