Working Principle

The IC7-68PDR-1.27DS-EJL(72) PC card socket consists of two parts, a contact and a housing. The contact part is a membrane element and is responsible for electrical contact between two opposing mating connectors. This element features 72 gold-plated contacts, each with a contact force of 0.5N (50gf) and an insulation resistance of 500mOhms. The contact part also features a UL94V-0 flame-resistant housing.

The housing is made of PPE (polypropylene-ether) material, which is an excellent flame-resistant material. It also features easy-to-install guides and a superior locking system providing secure fastening between two mating parts. The wall thickness is 7mm, offering strong mechanical stress protection and preventing electrical arcing. Additionally, the housing has two mounting holes for easy installation.
