When input voltage rises above the ON SLV level, the PFC current feedback signal (IL) is generated and is fedback to the PFC controller. The current feedback signal is used to regulate the proportional current feedback loop (ILL) within the regulator. The proportional current feedback loop maintains the correct level of output current to ensure a constant output power level.

In addition to its PFC capabilities, the ICE3B0365L can provide over-voltage protection (OVP), under-voltage protection (UVP), over-power protection (OPP), output short-circuit protection (SCP), and over-temperature protection (OTP). The OPP feature protects the device against excessive load conditions, while the SCP feature protects the device against output short conditions. The UVP and OVP features protect the device against input voltage irregularities. Finally, the OTP feature protects the device against thermal stress.
