ICE3B1565FKLA1 is a standard application SMPS controller IC for AC/DC converters with PFC. It is mainly used for active PFC. Working Principle
The ICE3B1565FKLA1 controller works in the boundary conduction mode (BCM) so that a soft start is generated by a control loop with a reset function. With its accurate parameters and operating modes, it provides excellent dynamic response in maintaining steady state outputs during load transients. It delivers superior performance in both active power factor correction (PFC) and in generating a constant voltage supply for output over a wide range of line and load conditions.
The PFC pre-regulator has a continuous conduction mode with input voltage sensing and auto-adaptation for improved power efficiency. The robust control loop enables an open loop performance that handles a wide range of input voltage, fast transient load and high line transients. It also provides protection against overload, overvoltage, and undervoltage, making it resistant to voltage fluctuations and surges.
