ICE3B1565FKLA1 is a standard application SMPS controller IC for AC/DC converters with PFC. It is mainly used for active PFC. This highly energy-efficient controller with switch-mode power supply (SMPS) technology delivers superior performance, with the most advanced features of high integration, improved solutions, smaller form factor and low BOM cost.

The updated project processes an efficiency upgrade from conventional high current inductors and transformers to flyback type solutions. Working Principle

The ICE3B1565FKLA1 controller works in the boundary conduction mode (BCM) so that a soft start is generated by a control loop with a reset function. With its accurate parameters and operating modes, it provides excellent dynamic response in maintaining steady state outputs during load transients. It delivers superior performance in both active power factor correction (PFC) and in generating a constant voltage supply for output over a wide range of line and load conditions.
