Features

The ICL7665SCPAZ is a highly integrated voltage supervisor IC suitable for a range of applications. It offers low-voltage and low power dissipation operation since it only consumes 500uA quiescent and 4mA max current. It also offers a wide range of features and functions to design quality power supply supervisors, including:

Working Principle

The ICL7665SCPAZ has one comparison input and one hysteresis voltage reference source for each monitored voltage. It monitors the applied voltages across its input pins, compares them to their corresponding reference inputs, and powers up the system when all monitored voltages are within the ±2.5% accuracy. If any of the monitored voltages drops below its reference, the ICL7665SCPAZ will generate an active-high /RESET# output to power up the system.

The ICL7665SCPAZ has integrated temperature monitoring function. It has an internal temperature sensor that monitors its die temperature, compares it to its own reference voltage, and powers up the system if the temperature is below its rated limit.

The ICL7665SCPAZ also has an integrated watchdog timer that is used to detect non-responsive circuits or a system stuck in low-power state. The watchdog timer can be programmed to generate an active-high /RESET# output with a timeout period ranging from 32ms to 8s.

Apart from these features, the ICL7665SCPAZ also offers dual monitor delay option and dual reset active delayed option. The dual monitor delay provides a delay time between the last monitored voltage and the reset/power-on output, and the dual reset active delayed option generates a delayed reset pulse following a power failure.
