The ICS844011AGILF is a highly integrated, small form factor clock generator, phase-locked loop (PLL), frequency synthesizer, and fractional-N synthesizer system with integrated dual-loop modulator. The device provides a wide variety of temporal output types, with the ability to generate programmable frequency ranges, spread spectrum modes, simultaneous multiple types of output, fan-out capability and wake-up delay.

The divider consists of a multiplication factor and “n” selector which allows the user to program its frequencyaccording to their needs. The divider offers a factor selection range of 4, 6, 8, 16, or 32 to generate a wide range of output frequencies from 44MHz to 177MHz.

The ICS844011AGILF is also designed with a wide range of features to effectively reduce output jitter. It features a non-overlap clock control circuit to provide smooth transitions between output steps by inhibiting the turning off of one phase while the other is turning on, thereby preventing clock-jitter. Additionally, an internal phase alignment circuit can offset phase jitter due to thermal drift and power supply variation. Finally, the device includes a low-frequency-noise suppressor, integrated loop filter and frequency synthesizer pre-divider to improve PLL performance.
