It expands narrow bandwidth bus systems; accelerates clocking for synchronous systems; recovers clock/data from asynchronous data (Byte/Bit Synchronizers ); and multiples and distributes system clocks. This clock buffer/driver, along with its predecessors, the IDT49FCT3805ASO8 and the IDT49FCT3805BSOI, is designed to address the issues of increasingly higher bus speeds, and the difficulty of managing multiple data formats, such as SDR and DDR SDRAM, in the same system environment.This device employs a single-ended input/output structure that can support frequencies up to 100 MHz. The IDT49FCT3805BSO8 is designed to transmit and receive data in Low Voltage Differential Signaling (LVDS) format at a maximum speed of 400 MHz, providing four data lanes supporting a range of data formats, including single ended (1.8V level) logic, SSTL2, and LVCMOS.The IDT49FCT3805BSO8 is used to clock and data buffer applications such as Gigabit Ethernet, Infiniband, to interconnect Flash Memory and a range of other digital system applications.
