The ILSB0805ERR39K is a fixed –wire wound inductor. A wire is wound around an insulated core. With wire wound inductors, the higher the number of turns, the higher the inductance. This can be used to produce a specified inductance.The core is a non-magnetic material such as ferrite or air. This determines the maximum amount of inductance that can be achieved. The higher the permeability (magnetic properties) of the core material, the higher the maximum value of inductance.
When current flows through the wire wound coil, magnetic flux is generated that is proportions to the amount of current flowing through the coil. This flux produces an opposing voltage that tends to limit the current flowing through the coil. This is known as inductance.A certain amount of DC resistance is always present, which causes heating of the coil and power dissipation. The higher the number of turns, the higher the DC resistance and the resulting power dissipation.
