1. Describe

The INA146UA is a precision differential amplifier, Precise attenuation for height differences voltage and rejection of high common-mode voltages Compatible with common signal processing voltages grade. 4. Application Information

The INA146UA is a programmable gain difference amplifier Consists of a differential amplifier with a gain of 0.1 and a programmable gain output buffer stage. Basic circuit connections, power supply bypass capacitors, should be connected close to pins 4 and 7. The amplifier is programmable from G = 0.1 to G = 50 with two external resistors. The output of A1 is connected to the non-inverting input A2 through a 10kΩ resistor trimmed to ±1% absolute accuracy. 5. Common mode range

The 10:1 input resistance ratio of the INA146UA provides an input common-mode range that can extend well beyond the power rails. The exact range depends on the supply voltage and the voltage applied to the Ref terminal (pin 1). For proper operation, the input of the non-inverting voltage A1 (internal node) must operate within its linear range. Its voltage is determined by a simple 10:1 Voltage divider between pin 3 and pin 1. This voltage must Between V– and (V+) – 1V.

6. Input resistance

The input impedance of the INA146UA is determined by the input resistor network, which is approximately 100kΩ. The source impedances at both inputs must be nearly equal to maintain good common-mode rejection. A 12Ω impedance mismatch between the two inputs reduces typical common-mode rejection to about 72dB. The source impedance of the shunt resistor RS is balanced by an equal compensation resistor RC. Source impedances greater than 800Ω are not recommended, even if they are perfectly matched. Internal resistors are laser trimmed for exact ratios, not absolute values. Adding equal resistors greater than 800Ω results in a mismatch in the total resistance ratio, reducing CMR

7. Offset trim

The INA146UA is laser trimmed for low offset voltage and drift. Most applications do not require external offset adjustment. The voltage applied to the Ref terminal will be added to the output signal. This can be used to offset the voltage for null. To maintain good common-mode rejection, the source impedance of the signal applied to Ref The termination should be less than 10Ω and a resistor added to the positive input should be 10 times, or 100Ω. Alternatively, the trim voltage can be done with a buffered op amp, such as the OPA277.
