Circuit breakers are essential components of all electricity networks. They play a critical role in protecting the electrical components and systems from overload, short-circuit, and ground fault currents. One common type is the IPG1-25828-1.The IPG1-25828-1 is a thermal-magnetic type circuit breaker. This type of circuit breaker consists of two types of elements which work in conjunction, a thermal element and a magnetic element. The thermal element is a component made of a bimetals strip. It acts as the main switching element and is activated when the current rises. When an overcurrent passes through the bimetal strip it causes a deflection and causes the breaker to trip. This element is designed specifically to reduce the risk of electrical overloads during periods of extreme demand. When the current passes through an electromagnet, the resistance increases, which slows down the breaker operation. This limits the change in current, however, when the current reaches the preset value, the breaker trips and isolates the incoming current from the rest of the system, preventing any further damage.
