The IR3590 family of SMPS controllers consist of a high frequency type (10 kHz-2 MHz) constant off time current mode controllers, designed specifically to drive an external N-channel MOSFET (NMOS) in a synchronous rectification, buck, COT buck, forward, or any combination of the above topologies depending on the number of external P-channel and N-channel MOSFET (PMOS) and NMOS transistors available. Application Field
The IR3590BMTRPBF from the IR3590 family, can drive an N-channel MOSFET up to 40V and can be used in either a buck, COT buck, forward, or any combination of the above topologies depending on the number of external NMOS and PMOS transistors available. With its Zero-Bias start feature, no bias currents and synchronous rectification, IR 3590 provides high-efficiency power conversion with minimal current consumption. Working Principle
