The IRPP3624-12A is an Evaluation Board (DC/DC & AC/DC (Off-Line) SMPS) designed to demonstrate the features and benefits of the Patented Integrated Flyback R-C-LTM Topology. The module is a highly efficient integrated power converter that provides excellent EMI performance with minimal design complexity. The module has been designed to simplify the evaluation of the R-C-L topology, as well as to provide a feature rich platform for fast and easy design integration.
The IRPP3624-12A has been designed to provide a wide range of users with a highly integrated and compact, high efficiency solution for their applications. The board is rated for delivery of up to 12 watts of continuous output power and can support up to 16 watts of peak power. The board can be used for a variety of applications including, but not limited to, mobile phone chargers, LED lighting, ISM/IoT applications, medical equipment, and consumer electronics.
The board is designed to use the R-C-L topology, which is a patented integrated flyback topology. In this topology, the power is converted from high voltage AC to low voltage DC using a rectifier stage. The rectified DC is further converted to a higher voltage using an integrated Flyback PMDC Convertor where the PMDC Converter operates using the energy stored in the inductor. In this topology, a transformer is replaced by an inductor which helps achieve higher efficiency. The generated voltage is rectified and regulated to the required DC output using a combination of a linear regulator and control loop.
The IRPP3624-12A is designed for easy integration with existing SMPS designs and supports a wide range of applications, including those using a wide variety of input and output voltages and currents. It also offers a high level of protection from short circuit and overload conditions, and supports features such as an adjustable Soft Start, Overload and Overvoltage Protection, and adjustable output current limit.
The IRPP3624-12A is designed to provide a high efficiency solution for industrial, automotive, and consumer applications, and is suitable for applications requiring a compact form factor and improved EMI performance.
