The latch should then be secured with a small hex screw until tightly engaged. Then the pins are inserted into the housing from one end and the other mating half is then inserted. The unit is then secured with self-tapping screws. When properly assembled, the housing is densely sealed to protect contacts from any water or dirt ingress. The contact are usually labeled or printed on the outside of the housing to help with identification and wiring.
