ISD2012 Application Field and Working Principle

The ISD2012 (Integrated Silicon Devices 2012) is a 5x7 LED dot matrix display module. It is the latest in a line of display modules that use LED and dot matrix technology. It offers a wide range of application fields that include clock displays, menu displays, direction indicators, audio level and other instrumentation displays.

The ISD2012 is also capable of controlling the colour of the LEDs. It has a colour register that can be used to store the colour information for each LED. This allows for the creation of more complex displays, such as a colour clock display or a colour menu display. The brightness of the LEDs can also be controlled by the microcontroller.
