ISL28291EVAL1Z is a quad-channel, single-supply JFET input operational amplifier (op amp) designed to offer high performance, low offset voltage and low noise. It comprises two single op amps and two dual op amps that can be used in a variety of applications, from audio to instrumentation and sensor conditioning.

The ISL28291EVAL1Z evaluation board (EVAL1Z) is intended for use in design, prototyping and validation of the ISL28291JFET. The board is configured in gain configuration with a low pass filter, and includes the Company’s patented Sesame™ differential amplifier technology.

Working Principle

ISL28291EVAL1Z is based on a standard op amp architecture, and features two single op amps and two dual op amps. The first single op amp is a high-precision JFET input (BJT is also available) designed to provide very low offset voltage and low noise. The second single op amp also has a high current handle and a low input voltage bias. It is designed for low voltage power supply operation and tracking systems. The dual op amps have rail-to-rail inputs and outputs, making them suitable for low-voltage high-side supply applications, such as audio and instrumentation.

The EVAL1Z also features the Company’s patented Sesame differential amplifier technology. This is a fully integrated, low-offset amplifier that enables the design of a high-performance, low-voltage differential amplifier solution. The differential amplifier offers excellent stability, linearity, high CMRR and low input bias current.

The EVAL1Z is designed to offer up to 27dB of gain, with a gain bandwidth of 10MHz, and a slew rate of 42V/µs. It has a low power draw of 0.18mW and a low gain-bandwidth product of 5.5MHz. Additionally, it features adjustable rack-to-rail outputs, programmable gain settings and adjustable common mode range, making it a versatile solution for a variety of different applications.
