ISL54416IRUZ-T is an array of 16 independently controlled analog switches designed for a variety of applications. It is designed with carefully optimized on-resistance matching, low skew and low power consumption. The device is designed to be low-voltage, low-power, while maintaining an exceptional level of device performance.This device utilizes a slew rate control pin which helps lower on-resistance by as much as fifty-five (55) percent and minimize power consumption at stop band frequencies. This device also employs an independent power enable pin and internal pull-down structure which allows the device to be rapidly activated or shut-off when external power availability or switching pulse frequency is limited. This device is made for applications in factories, telecommunications and consumer electronics where low-voltage and low-power levels are essential. It has a very good power-supply rejection ratio and long-term stability, this makes it ideal for industrial and medical applications, where predictable performance and reliability is key. The operating voltage of this device is between 1.65-3.6V, and it supports operation down to 1V. The maximum operating temperature is 105 Celsius and the channel can be source or sink current of 40 milliAmps (mA). The switching time of each channel is 3μs and the on-resistance is 0.35Ω.In terms of the device’s working principle; the ISL54416IRUZ-T is comprised of independent logic control circuits and 16 individually controlled analog switches. Each analog switch can either be in the on or off state, depending on the logic control circuit values. The logic control circuit inputs can be driven with a logic high or low to either open or close the device.The device has four (4) ports; one (1) common drain port (In) and three (3) separately driven source ports (Out1, Out2, Out3). Depending on the logic control input, the device can be set to one (1) of these two (2) operating states:In On state: When the logic control voltage is high, the output ports are connected to the input port. This allows for signal or power to flow freely between each output port and the input port.In Off state: When the logic control voltage is low, the device is in its off state and can not conduct any signals or power from the output ports to the input port.The device also has two (2) power states: high power mode and low power mode. In high power mode, the switches are enabled to conduct at full power while in low power mode, the switches are enabled to conduct at lower power; this is beneficial when power consumption is critical. The ISL54416IRUZ-T has an internal power enable pin to help limit power usage during peak load times.
